To ring in 2026, we’re moving our community conversations from Discord over to Substack, since you all seem to be hanging out here already (aren’t we all?). A few times a month, we’ll be sharing more about the world of 831 Stories and the broader romance happenings on our radar, and everything you’ll find here is free-tier, always.

To kick things off, we’re teaming up with Belletrist, the online reading community started by Emma Roberts and Karah Preiss, on a group read of Emily Brontë’s iconic and tortured love story Wuthering Heights ahead of the much-anticipated drop of Emerald Fennell’s take, in theaters February 13. If you happen to be in NYC on Saturday, January 24, P&T Knitwear on the Lower East Side is hosting the 831 Stories and Belletrist communities for an in-person group read from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. (RSVP!) There will be snacks, there will be an opportunity to play catch-up (or to get started!), and there will be introvert-friendly light socialization while we all read our books and picture Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie doing Heathcliff and Catherine.
